As a proud native of St. Louis, Missouri, Sonji Young is one of today's emerging leaders in the field of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging. Sonji's more than 12 years of experience in the field of DEIB has equipped her to successfully lead strategy for notable Fortune 500 companies, including the United States' largest semiconductor, Intel Corporation. Having cultivated a career that spans across industries such as tech, healthcare and government, Sonji has uniquely shaped the culture of each organization in which she has made a meaningful impact.

Currently, Sonji serves as Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Armstrong Teasdale, a global Am Law 200 law firm. In her work, she fosters a more inclusive workplace through her work to support a growing community of employee resource groups and operationalize DEIB in the firm's hiring, recruitment and retention practices. 

As an avid philanthropist at heart, she serves as a volunteer and voice for a number of important causes including efforts to increase women in technology, youth development and health equity. Outside of her work in DEI, Sonji is the Founder of About Her Business, a podcast and networking community of women entrepreneurs across the United States. Young also uses her passion for public speaking and leadership development to impart inspiration in a digital learning series called The Wisdom Within.
